The CrazySail countdown begins!

The countdown to CrazySail is on – only 8 more weeks to go!We are getting super excited for this crazy week coming up soon, so we have started a blog to share our excitement!  Every week we will be publishing new posts to share information and help you get ready for CrazySail. There are five important things that you really need to organise now:

1. Pay and confirm your place for CrazySail.

If you are not sure how to arrange for payment, contact your skipper.

2. Make sure you have a passport that is valid and not expired.

For anyone who is not from the European Union, this is a no-brainer for you – bring your passport (duh!).  For EU citizens, Croatia is not part of the EU… yet.  It is expected to become part of the EU as of 1 July 2013.  In any case, you should be able to just bring your EU Identity Card.

3. Get travel/health insurance

Don’t even bother coming without sorting out your travel/health insurance policy.  Without this, you may be refused first aid in the event of an emergency in Croatia.  For EU citizens, you should be able to register for health insurance cover in Croatia (free of charge!) by contacting your health insurance provider.

4. Apply for leave from work.

Does your boss know that you are going away on holidays from 10-17 August?  If not, you better apply for your leave as soon as possible.  It’s the time of the year that everyone wants to go on holidays, so you better ask before your colleagues do.

5. Book your flights/work out how you’re going to get to Marina Dalmacja for the 10th of August.

Check out When&Where for full details about how to get there.  CrazySail officially begins at 14:00 on the 10th of August, so don’t be late for the party!

We know that you are very busy and important, but make sure you plan ahead so that you don’t miss out on CrazySail this year.  If you can no longer come to the CrazySail, then please let us know as soon as possible because there is a waiting list of friends who want to jump on a boat with us too.
